Dial 1-800 when Requesting Flu Shots for Home Visits

Eastern Health would like to remind the public of the importance of dialing
1-800 before 770-7741 when requesting a home visit to get their flu shot. Dialing the number without 1-800 directs calls to the wrong number.

Home visits by community health nurses are available to the very frail or homebound who cannot travel to a flu clinic, or visit a pharmacist or doctor to get their flu shot.

These individuals can also call their local Community Health Office from Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to arrange their flu shot. Contact numbers can be found at www.easternhealth.ca/CommunityHealthLocations.

Eastern Health thanks the public for their consideration and reminds individuals that getting a flu shot is important every year, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Getting vaccinated will help reduce the spread of influenza in our communities and help reduce the impact on the health-care system in the event of a potential surge of COVID-19 cases.
